Membership Categories

- Designated: Municipal Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (MAAS) or Municipal Rural Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (MRAAS)

Candidate Member
This is an entry level, regulated membership category for those wishing to pursue the MAAS or MRAAS designation or for those practicing assessment or performing tasks that support the assessment process under the supervision of an accredited assessment appraiser. Any person who is a practicing assessment appraiser and is 18 years of age or older is eligible for this category. Candidate members have six years to complete their accreditation requirements.
Designated MEMBER
The Licensed Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (LAAS) license is recognized as the property assessment certification in the province of Saskatchewan.
The Municipal Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (MAAS) or Municipal Rural Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (MRAAS) designation is awarded to members who have earned the designation through a combination of work experience and education
HONOURARY MEMBER
This membership is granted by Council in recognition of distinguished service to the mass assessment appraisal profession in Saskatchewan.
REGULAR MEMBER
This membership does not hold designation and does not adhere to the education requirements of a licensed assessment appraiser.
