CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (CPD)

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers’ Association (SAAA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards in professionalism and expertise. The relevance and status of the MAAS and MRAAS designation is enhanced by the requirement to continually upgrade and update knowledge and skills in the field of property assessment.

All licensed, accredited and candidate members must meet the CPD program requirements every five years in order to remain in good standing. Regular members are not required to participate in the CPD program. Regular members who apply and become a candidate for the first time are then required to participate in the CPD Program.

The reporting cycle starts January 1, 2020 and ends December 31, 2024.  Normally, members are required to obtain a total of 60 CPD credits per cycle (average 12 credits per year).  Due to COVID-19, the current cycle requirements have been reduced by 12 CPD credits – members are required to obtain a total of 48 CPD credits for cycle ending December 31, 2024.

Members are encouraged to post their credits as they obtain them.
